Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement ministry is a peer group ministry designed to support those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The group is open to anyone in our community regardless of religious conviction. Sessions contain time for education on the grieving process as well as time for sharing among the group. The bereavement ministry meets twice a year, in the fall and spring. Sessions run for 7 weeks at a time. Participants are encouraged to share according to their own comfort level and in turn may learn from the input of other participants. All information shared is kept confidential.   

Resources and handouts are distributed for participants to keep for future reference as they maneuver the grieving process. Participants may return to the bereavement group for as many sessions as they would like.
