Good Neighbors Ministry

Good Works logo

We have started a new ministry here at St. Peter’s called “Good Neighbors” and it is part of Good Works, a Christian nonprofit organization which exists to improve the living conditions for low-income families in Chester County, PA. For those who have not heard of Good Works, it is kind of like “Extreme Makeover – Home Edition”. Jim MulryWe don’t put in rec rooms, or additions, but we will put on new roofs and install new windows. The goal of Good Works is to make the homes of low-income residents, warmer, safer and drier. Our services are offered to homeowners at no cost and volunteers do most of the repairs.

Our goal is to see the inhabitants of these homes rise above their level of poverty and experience a richness through being cared for and knowing that their circumstances matter to their community.  We believe that everyone benefits when people from different races, cultures, and backgrounds join together in a common purpose.
