Health Ministry of Saint Peter Parish

The Parish Health Ministry brings together health professionals and lay volunteers who work interdependently to promote health and provide helpful services within the parish community.

Mission Statement

The Health Ministry of Saint Peter Parish furthers the healing mission of Jesus Christ and reinforces the connection between health and spirituality.

Inherent to this mission is the belief that the health status of a parish community is essential to parish life and that wellness is an element of our spiritual journey.

Who We Are

The Parish Health Ministry promotes holistic care - body, mind and spirit - to individuals, families, congregations and the community.

The Parish Health Ministry concept has become a well known and respected method of pastoral health ministry; it blends the knowledge of physical and spiritual health, which are the ingredients of holistic care. This ministry purposefully links health and spirituality within the parish.

The goal of the Parish Health Ministry at Saint Peter Catholic Church is to promote health and wellness and to give glory to God.

Saint Peter's Parish Health Ministry

Our ministry consists of both health professionals and lay volunteers. If you are interested in joining our ministry, please contact us. We meet the first Tuesday of every month.

Nurse Group
Our Health Professionals are working hard to provide monthly Blood Pressure Screenings and other seminars/events. Blood pressure screenings are held the last Sunday of every month after the 10:30 am Mass.
Monthly Themes Group
Our Monthly Themes group prepares a bulletin board display each month with a health related theme.
Sunshine Group
Our Sunshine Group makes calls and sends cards, providing a little "sunshine" to parishioners in need.
