St. Peter Parish Respect Life Committee educates the parish on pro-life
issues and supports local crisis pregnancy centers and other pro-life
organizations, in addition to participating in pro-life activities at
county, regional and national levels.

“THE SERIES”
God’s plan for living happy, healthy, holy lives
from beginning to end.
The Respect Life Committee of St. Peter Church is continuing a series of monthly talks that began in October, 2011 and will run through April, 2012. The first four talks focused on the Beginning of Life, Chastity, Theology of the Body and Natural Family Planning. Future talks will deal with Infertility and End-of-Life issues.
All presentations are held at St. Peter Church beginning at 7 PM, followed by refreshments.
The schedule currently includes:
October 24 “Beautiful Beginnings”
Generation Life will present two separate talks: one for youth grades 7-12, and one for parents and other interested adults. Using video footage from The Discovery Channel and National Geographic, students will be guided through the stages of fetal development and the miracle of life. Generation Life is a movement of young people dedicated to building a culture of life and love by spreading the pro-life and chastity messages to their peers.
November 7 “The Freedom of Chastity”
Generation Life will be back to present two separate talks: one for youth grades 7-12, and one for parents and other adults who work with teens. Students will be guided through discussions of topics that will equip them with practical ways to live a life of chastity in the real world! Generation Life believes that spreading the message of chastity will end abortion at its root cause.
November 21 "God, Sex, and the Universal Longing"
Renowned author and speaker Christopher West will be presenting on Pope John Paul II’s revolutionary Theology of the Body - a bold, organic and contemporary understanding of human love in the divine plan. Enter into the “why” behind the “what” of the Catholic understanding of human sexuality and how it illuminates life’s deepest questions.
January 9 “Why Not Contraception?”
Presented by Dr. Lester Ruppersberger, a board certified OB/GYN with an NFP only practice in Langhorne, PA. He and his wife Betty are both certified NFP instructors for the Family Life Office of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He and his wife also host a call in radio program on Holy Spirit Radio.
February 6 “So We’re Infertile. Now What?”
Rev. Dr. Tad Pacholczyk, Ph.D. will discuss In Vitro Fertilization – the Science and the Ethics. “Fr. Tad” is a priest of the diocese of Fall River, Massachusetts and Director of Education for The National Catholic Bioethics Center in Philadelphia. He is an internationally known expert on bioethical issues.
March 5 “End of Life Issues”
Presented by a panel of moral, legal, & medical professionals which will include Dr. Peter J. Colosi, a professor of philosophy and moral theology at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. Dr. Colosi expresses the moral teachings of the Catholic Church in ways that get at the underlying reasons behind those teachings.
April 2 “You Can Make a Difference”
